As part of the celebrations, Freie Universität will also honor its doctoral candidates and supervisors: with the Ernst-Reuter-Awards for outstanding doctoral dissertations and with the Awards for Excellent Supervision of the Dahlem Research School.
As part of the Ernst-Reuter-Day, Dahlem Research School - Freie Universität's Center for Junior Researchers - offers a number of information and workshops sessions for students interested in pursuing a doctoral degree as well as doctoral and (early) postdoctoral researchers.
Interested students may visit our Open Door Talk Perspektive Promotion (held in German, questions in English are welcome) and may also register free of charge for workshops to help them in identifying a topic (Themenfindung) and getting started with their dissertation outline (Exposé - Aufbau und Inhalt).
We also have a special "gift" for doctoral researchers at Freie Universität: "Project Skills DIY" offers the opportunity to "do your own thing". Design and implement a project with the potential to kick off your career by applying transferable skills in the "real world" of academia (or beyond). Interested?
