"Epistemic Spaces: Knowledgesystems in Transnational Governance" (Working Title)

The Ph.D. project examines the (changing) role of knowledge and knowledge-generation in transnational governance arrangements. It does so, by contrasting the well established notion of epistemic communities with recent findings from Science and Technology Studies (STS) and environmental assessment literature. Both narratives of knowledge will be applied to the case of the Forest Stewardship Council.
