4. Dissertation Topic
"Compliance and Private Governance"
Abstract
The dissertation project analyses the difference between compliance mechanisms in international regulations and their private equivalents. It focusses on three subject areas in which states have recently ceded some of their regulatory competence to private organisations and compares compliance before and after that regime transformation. The basic methodolical approach is that of a comparative case study.
