At the core of the BTS stand the PhD candidates. Created as platform of enriching exchange and research of young as well as more experienced scholars, the structure and facilities of the BTS are supposed to be thus developed to create a smooth flow and outcome of the project.

On this account the BTS has developed a broad range of student services in cooperation and coordination with its partner institutions the Freie Universität Berlin (FUB), the Hertie School of Governance (HSoG) and the Social Science Research Center Berlin (WZB).

Next to the profiles of the current PhD candidates you will find information on the different courses offered by the BTS, the facilities offered for students as well as the addresses of student services and associated information points. In the rubric ""Incoming Students" you can find tips and advise on how to proceed when accepted by the BTS, about the access to university, enrolment, student life and living in Berlin.
